Center for North American Studies, University of Economics in Bratislava, currently offers the only training program of its kind in Slovakia, where candidates can gain extensive knowledge of political, economic and cultural aspects of life in the United States and Canada. Through varied compositions Centre offers accredited courses, interdisciplinary approach to the North American region. It helps students to think critically about the status of the U.S. and Canada in the world, the successes and problems of American and Canadian society and the economy. Vibrant center has several unique characteristics that make in a short time has become a popular provider of education and practical source of knowledge of the North American continent, its specifics and dynamics in a broader context.

Study of the North American region is of special importance because the United States and Canada, as well as private enterprises and institutions emerging in the region, play an important role in the global arena. USA and Canada are also allies of the Slovak Republic and our partners in the Euro project, democracy, security and shared values ??professed. The American people are hundreds of thousands of Slovaks, who adopted America as their citizens who helped build its prosperity and democracy and to protect its security. Today, more and more Americans and Canadians coming to Slovakia. Training offered by the Center helps students recognize what we have in common, and that, what makes us different. America still fascinated by the world of central Europe and its paradoxes. Our courses help students better and to be able to navigate the American experience to apply what is relevant for Slovakia.
